“The Guardian”, Motueka, Tasman, Golden Bay

Had a very enjoyable second tour of New Zealand. Everyone was very cheerful, welcoming and helpful, and there were numerous interesting and entertaining discussions. My apologies to Northerners. There were three extra  shows I would have liked to do on the North Island, but it would have involved zip-zapping back & forth between the two islands.

Excellent PA and audio set up in Dunedin and Golden Bay. Apart from the solo gigs, I enjoyed playing with a number of interesting musicians. Thanks for the excellent accommodation everywhere, for the organisational help in Nelson, Motueka, Golden Bay and Richmond. Especially thanks to Blenheim winemaker & friend Glenn Thomas & his partner Sharon for their accommodation and superb wines (special recommendation 2013 Tupari Sauvignon blanc.)

We just got back to Australia in time to avoid the initial paranoia of COVID 19.
